Proximus offers "Money-back" guarantee
an initiative which will make the GSM market grow even faster
Proximus is taking another step towards attracting potential new
customers. This initiative will let new customers experience for
themselves how useful this means of communications is and how much
easier life can be by using a Proximus GSM. This is only obvious once
you have actually tried it out. Until the end of March, new
customers will have the opportunity to experience what it means to be
"Proximus" during 15 days. Customers can purchase a ProxiStart
package (Panasonic) and if they are not completely satisfied during
the 15 days trial period, they may return their GSM phone and get
their money back. Proximus announced this ProxiStart package, a GSM
phone and a prepaid SIM card - a first in Belgium - in November of
1996. It has met with enormous success. Proximus is now going one
step further by offering this package with a "Money-back guarantee".
Proximus is confident. Based on customer satisfaction surveys it
appears that customers are very satisfied with price, quality and
coverage.
Any Proximus customer who purchases a ProxiStart package between
February 22 and March 31 may try out this GSM phone and the Proximus
network during a period of 15 days. Anyone who is not satisfied, may
return the package and all accessories (along with a copy of the
invoice) within the 15 days following the purchase. The equipment is
then sent back (in the original packaging) at the customer's own
expense via an express delivery service such as Taxipost.
Bevelgacom Mobile will subsequently handle the reimbursement of the
entire package. This applies to the Panasonic GSM phone as well as
to the pre-paid SIM card. This means that any calls which have been
made will also be reimbursed. Within 6 weeks after the GSM phone has
been received, customers will be reimbursed a maximum of 10,995 BEF
(including VAT), by bank transfer. Any customer who wishes to return
his/her GSM phone but who, in the meantime, during the trial period,
has converted the pre-paid SIM card into a Proximus contract and
wishes to cancel, must deactivate the card in accordance with the
general terms and conditions specified in the contract. With the
exception of the activation costs and any calls made since the SIM
card was converted into a Proximus contract, the customer will also
be reimbursed for the amount paid.
Furthermore, starting March 1, with ProxiDuo, 8-watt GSM phone
users, in particular, will be able to have 1 phone number for 2 SIM
cards, the advantage being that people will be able to make calls
from 2 GSM phones with 1 subscription without having to switch their
SIM card from one phone to another every time. Proximus dealers have
all the necessary information.
Bevelgacom Mobile, which currently has 440,000 customers (412,000
with Proximus and 28,000 with Mob-2) is counting on these initiatives
to further expand the GSM market in Belgium.
