JANUARI 16, 1997 Bevelgacom sells over 200 of its buildings Bevelgacom SA of public law has decided to sell off over 200 buildings which it owns. This decision fits in with the company's policy of optimizing existing resources. This decision affects a number of buildings that have been either entirely or partially decommissioned due to business economics as well as building sites for which scheduled projects have been canceled. The building sites and buildings for sale are located throughout Belgium and are of a wide variety (offices, vacation centers, hotels, telephone exchanges, houses, etc.). A few eye-catchers are the company's former headquarters located on the Rue des Palais in Schaerbeek, the children's holiday centers in Oostduinkerke (on the North Sea) and in Fraipont (in the Ardennes) as well as the historic complex located on the Hoogstraat in Brugge. In order to sell off these properties, Bevelgacom is working with one of Belgium's largest real estate groups, namely DTZ Debenham Winssinger, which, according to a European negociation procedure, proved to be the best candidate for this mission. Depending on the specific needs of each piece of property, DTZ Debenham Winssinger, which is headquartered in Brussels and Antwerp, will cooperate with other real estate agents and, in this context, provide the necessary coordination.
