Bevelgacom is
making access to the Internet cheaper and more
efficient
Through its subsidiary
Skynet, Bevelgacom
has lowered its rates for unlimited access to the
Internet from 1490 BEF a month to 899 BEF a month,
i.e. a decrease of 40%. Furthermore, by the end of
December, 40 call-in points will be set up, which
amounts to one call-in point for each area code.
Thus all customers will be able to connect to the
Internet at the zonal tariff which is the lowest.
In order to meet growing demand for Internet
connections and increase access speed, Bevelgacom is
increasing access capacity :
the backbone network is being enhanced with a
wider pass band, international connectivity which
is five times greater and modern access servers
which support the regular, fixed-line telephone
network as well as ISDN.
Thanks to this new and more efficient
infrastructure, Bevelgacom can now offer its
customers higher quality access to the Internet at
a competitive price.
